Permission exceptions

The following Software has not been permitted by the authors:

• SimSynth (Windows). The author of this (David Billen) could not be reached, as none of the internet references to his page or email address was working. The strange thing is that all these references were the same and yet wrong. There were no distribution limitations mentioned, so we decided to put it on our CD.
• Spliner (Mac). The author of this (Jeff Belsey) left an email address, but messages bounced back. No trace of Jeff could be found. There were no distribution limitations mentioned, so we decided to put it on our CD.
